The above site is being relaunched, I bought all the content and the domain recently, however the domain had expired under the previous owner which sucks but it means I got everything at a good price, nice looking site though I think!

Are you looking for feedback on this design... ? Did you buy it and now it's going to be redesigned and relaunched?

Yes feedback on the design, it was going to disappear in the ethos so I bought the content and design and will be putting in some work on it over the next few months.

I have a few comments, as a web designer:

    1. I like the colors - EXCEPT for that pink that in the right column in the center area of the screen.

    2. I don't like that the center is broken up into two columns.

    3. When I looked at the site, my eye didn't really know where to go or what to focus on. I do like the little spine on the left side, but I think the navigation runs a little bit too far over it (for readability's sake). I think you'd be better off having the logo in the top left corner (first place the eye goes, if you're trying to establish branding and credibility).

    4. The content seems a little scattered.. like I said in #3 I didn't know what to focus on. It doesn't seem really organized.

    5. For the Google Adsense - you'd probably be able to fit more on there, and increase your chances of click throughs on that. I would take out the two columns in the center area, make it one column, and have your Google ads intersperced within that main one column body.

    6. The left navigation -- I like the rollovers but I would make them pop out to the right, and not so much right over the option you're rolling over. I don't like that the option gets covered up.

    7. Fonts are great - maybe add some H1, H2, H3, H4 to bring focus to the important parts, separate the content a little bit.

    8. On the right side, I'd add some padding to the tables to bring the content away from the edges a little bit. And I'd make sure that with bulleted lists, the bullets stay to the left and the text stays to the right -- if the line is too long, I wouldn't have it wrap to right under the bullet (does that make sense?).

I'm really pick about alignment and padding and stuff like take these only as suggestions -- I think you have a good site to work with!

Good luck - let us know if/when you've made updates, I'd be very interested to see.

    -Shannon

Ughhhh....there is too much activity going on in the first page...try breaking it up into several pages...its as if your trying to fit the entire merk manual on the index.
