Oh well, it looks like many other "book now" sites.

The header tries to look like a web 2.0 "logo". The site design is simple. Done with tables... totally out nowadays, sorry.
Site was done with XSitePro.

On to my review:

DOCTYPE is HTML 4.01 Transitional

Validator tells me: 19 Errors, 13 warning(s)

Google Page Speed Score is 79.

These are suggestions from Google to boost page loading speed (and help with some SEO I think):

Combine external JavaScript
Enable compression
Leverage browser caching
Serve static content from a cookieless domain
Combine external CSS
Minify CSS
Specify a Vary: Accept-Encoding header
Specify image dimensions

There is a lot of optimizing to do. IMO I would think about a redesign.

First thought is "Where is a Order Now button?"
It's really looks like it. The reason is I think that there are too many font colors and that ugly yellow highlight at right.
I think you can change it only with changing font colors

Yes the site design is simple. The goals isn't to have incredble flash graphics here, there and everywhere
but instead the goal is to rank highly on specific search terms.

I do appreciate your more technical review though. Good food for thought.

I have removed the yellow highlight on the right as I wasn't overly happy with that either. Nice pick up.

As for making the rest of the site more 'web 2.0' I assume you mean graphics
with reflections and more interactive?

If not, what exactly is your interpretation of web 2.0?

 

Not bad, shame it's built with tables, would have been more effective in the search engines with a div layout.

 

I think you have done amazing job but make it bit fast loading and use some more images to your site

 

It's like a book website. White, nice and effective!

Thats an amazing niche you should add more nice images to your site otherwise your site is looking perfect
