This is indeed a very interesting thread and a useful one too, as I got lot of tools where I can check my backlinks. Thanks everyone. However I dont understand why would @lavinpratap would thanks everyone after almost 15 days
Because I am getting overwhelming response. I have got my answer long back. But still if people like lucilla gets benifited then the thread should go on. My thanks giving is over for this thread.;-)
Oh yes thank you for the info. I just realized that my websites got a fair amount of backlinks lavinpratap you don't have to thank me this time so you can take a breath and rest from thanking the crew
Yes I know its possible to track the backlinking through using backlinkwatch.com, But can you tell me please when it become visible to backlinkwatch.com or yahoo site explorer after submitting on link. I've submitted my link to 50 high PR sites 2 weeks ago, they are still live but I can't see them by yahoo site explorer or backlinkwatch.com. Do you have any idea when they will be visible. Thank you.
Type in google link:<site name> and same in yahoo search. Yahoo will show you more number of back links of your site.
Well, you can use a lot of website in order to check all the back links for your website such as: Blacklinkwatch.com altavista.com backlinkwatch.com but the best and approved way is to check the back links through the Google's toolbar...
You could check it manually by "link:yourdomainname.com" or you could download SEOpen add on in mozilla. The tools can also include:
Its: link:yourwebsiteaddress Or you can use some of the tools that check for back links: http://www.directorycritic.com/backlink-checker.html http://backlinkchecker.net/en-EN/index.php?p=backlink-checker Code (markup):
its better to check back links in google webmasters as they avoid Duplicates as well as repetetive links from sites just because your sites are added in the side Bar. for exampls a blog www.CRAIGJOSEPH.net has got 2 links when using the method link:www.CRAIGJOSEPH.net ( here some do make the mistake of not giving www) okay now in the webmaster tools the following is the list Link Last found Go to URLhttp://people.virginia.edu/~jcg9m/research.html Apr 20, 2010 Go to URLhttp://people.virginia.edu/~jdh6n/moraljudgment.html Apr 26, 2010 Go to URLhttp://people.virginia.edu/~jdh6n/politicalpsych.html Apr 15, 2010 Go to URLhttp://people.virginia.edu/~jdh6n/publications.html Apr 19, 2010 Go to URLhttp://www.123people.com/s/joseph craig Apr 23, 2010 which also shows the last date it was found.... so Google doesn't just stop with finding our links once. it keeps on updating it also Regarding Bing's back links i have seen their links only via their webmaster tools and so far i can say that they are impressive and no way less to yahoos and the master google. Do check your site in alexa.. they too have a list of Back links
