Back links ???

How can I check how many back links i have for my site?

I used to add something like the below but i dont remember. Do help me

<specific text>:<URL of the site>

 

Use Yahoo site explorer:

http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.co...bwm=i&bwmf=s&bwmo=&fr=yfp-t-918&fr2=seo-rd-se

 

You can also try using the Webmaster Tools provided by Google.

 

in google:
site:www.domain.com but note that it doesn't show all backlinks.
It is better to check Google Wemaster Tools or like smindsrt mentions abnove: Yahoo siteexplorer

 

also do a google link search although they only show a few of their actual results.

link:<sitename>

in yahoo search is your best bet to get the most accurate information on your incoming backlinks. Google tends to hide backlink information to keep your competitors from stomping you out.

What does that mean? cant get you.

 

Yahoo is the most accurate related to the number of links. Google Won't show irrelevant links, new links, bad quality links.
