Hi, I needed to ask a little question! Can some one explain what are back links? I mean I have herd this term for many sites and word press blogs that to have back links can bring you a lot od traffic. Can some one explain me its full meaning and how can this be done I mean how can we create good back links! Regards
Links from other sites that point to your site. Sites that you do not also link to. So a link from a blog in which you have commented and placed a link "back" to your site would be called "back link". Don't worry so much about the nomenclature, just get as many links with targeted anchor text from as many relevant sources as you can pointing to your site.

For example if one of my websites has a link to yours, you have a backlink from my site. Another key ingredient to the backlink is the anchor text. For instance, if your site is about "cell phones" and I link to your site using "cell phones" as the anchor text from a hyperlink to your site then you will benefit for the term "cell phones" in the search engines. The search engines will associate your site with this anchor text. The term "keywords" is the words you want the search engines to list your site for. In my example, "cell phones" was the anchor text but it is also the keywords you would want if your site was about cell phones. OK, so much for the definitions then how do you get backlinks? A few common methods include submissions to article directories, blog comments, link exchanges and directory submissions. Some webmasters also purchase links but Google frowns on this, but many still do at risk. I hope this helps as it is a very important aspect of off page optimization for SEO. Hey BBX, I presume you now know what backlinks are...As Juka explained the methods of link building as being 1. Directory Submissions. 2. Article Submissions. 3. Blog Postings. 4. Press Releases 5. Forum Posting Signatures. Well I believe you should use most of them if not all (in a moderate manner) to get links. Now answering your question....of course you have tools (read automated softwares) which do submissions for you to generate backlinks. But I would warn you against using them as these, automatic that they are, submit to all kinds of directories and other link sources which might be spammy in nature, in turn harming your website. I would recommend a manual submissions for the simple reason that most of them are manually reviewed and your website is categorized under the most relevant category. There are many service providers who offer these services at very nominal prices. Hope this helps
