Hi All, I optimized one website which is hitechproofreadingservices(dot)com and there is 5 months. and i have also completed Search Engines and Directories submission for that site. My site is also listed in Yahoo and MSN. But in Google there is no listing on any keyword in SERP. I also checked it backlinks through link command in Google but i found "No Links" but in Google Sitemap i found there is a 57 links. So what is the reason behind it? Why my site's links are not showing in Google and also it is not listed in Google SERP on any keywords. please give me your idea about that.
Google doesn't show all your backlinks to the public. You will only see them on Webmaster Tools. Ignore what you see otherwise. As far as showing up, how competitive are your keywords? Are you shooting for keywords or phrases?
Yahoo Explorer is neat to see backlinks. I use that and Google Console as lakelandprinting mentioned.
Use a backlink checker tool like iwebtool to check your backlinks, it will show your backlinks in google, msn and yahoo. As above said, google webmaster tool will show more backlinks than you check in its web like link:www.domain.com. Google knows your actual number of backlinks, but they don't show it.
In Sitemaps Google shows no-follow links as well. Why Google shows no-follow if they have no weight from Google point of view.
I think yahoo siteexplorer is cool for link analysis, though it will only show you the first 1000 links. The link list in Google webmaster tool takes ages to get updated, and Google's link:url even takes longer. IMO, if you are getting good links to your site, you will see immediate effect in the SERP. Maybe your targeting highly competitive keywords?
Well google will not show all of your backlinks ever. The reason is simple, they don't want to give away your secrets. If you use webmaster tools, than you can view all of your back links that google counts. We all know that back links make up one part of the page rank system, therefore google likes to protect some of your hard work while yahoo will release your information to your competitors. When backlinks do show up on Google they are often from only the highest quality sites; those that are already considered credible themselves and are undeniably relevant to the linked website
Strange that Google shows some backlinks and not others. Does anyone know how they choose which ones they'll show and which ones they don't?
But, i would like to know why Google shows 0 LINKS to my site - latest-technews.com - it has PR2 and it is 1year old!! - i can see lot of links on Yahoo and other places - why not Google, not even ONE??
