back links in yahoo and google

I am facing different type of problem, when i check my website back links in google then it shows 3 links and when i check in yahoo then i can see 200 links , friends i want to know that why there is lot of difference between yahoo and google back links.

 

If you are searching link in Google search (link:sitename.com) then it do not show all links.. Use google webmaster tool for all links detail from google.

 

Does anybody know if Webmaster Tools contains an accurate list.

For one of my sites as an example, if I go to yahoo and search: link:http://www.mysite.com it gives me over 480 links
But in Webmaster toos it only shows about 280. Does this mean that Google is discounting about 200 of these links?

it may be due to Google only show do follow link while yahoo may count do follow and no follow link also

 

Its just opposite in my case.. GWT show many times more links than Yahoo site explorer for my site..
Anyway, they will show only link that they found while crawling the web.. These result can never be accurate.

 

For One of my website, Yahoo gives tons of back links and only a few back links in google.

 

Google can often take longer to register backlinks - and may not register them at all! Right now one of my sites has 100 backlinks according to Yahoo and 0 according to Google. Bing took a place in the middle and recognized 60 backlinks. Give it time, and Google will count them too (hopefully ).

 

Which is the best tool to check 4 back link . Google or yahoo.....what

 

Google is a little slow in picking up backlinks. I've got the same issue.

 

If you find on Google then its not shown all back links, check it on Google webmaster tool for site all back links.

Google search engine and yahoo search engines Algorithm are differs. In Google have three different data centers and when the website crawled by the Google spider. It alloyed some space for this sites. This allocation of space shows the backlinks as per the space and websites value basis. Where as yahoo shows the different way. That's why the back link results different from each search engines.

 

Both are different search engine, using different algorithm to collect backlinks.
