Back links from your other website

Hi, I saw many webmaster linked their related websites together. I saw many examples of this and I think it really helped their SEO a lot. some people even suggested us to use different webhosting so our new website has different IPs. I want to ask, do we need to submit our website on different account in google.com/webmaster? Because I think everything must be different in order to get the maximum value of back links from our other websites.

I presume that there can be different IPs from the same hosting company

    Hey there,

If you have two different websites and can create backlinks, go for it.

I would not do it just to get backlinks though. There are a lot of better ways to do that.

    Sincerely,
    Travis Walters

I do it for traffic and back links, not only back links.

    Yes, there can :)

Further on, different IPs or C blocks are only important, if there is a massive linking, it won't have a negative effect if ist's just a link here and there ("natural") and related.

You could link, but do not make it look so obvious that a person who sees can put two and two together. If they are on different IP's that helps too.

They should have done it using different IPs if not Google will surely detect them....It's one way of generating backlinks... Especially if you link your site with no PR to your site with already PR.. Surely the PR juice will pass...
