    Yahoo Answers is one of the best way to build backlinks, search for
    your niche over there and answer as many questions you can put your
    website link in source, this helps in gaining backlinks, Many web
    owners use this way to get traffic.

    They are no-follow links good only for the direct traffic they may provide.

    actually forums are the best way to build your backlinks while yahoo answers is the best to attract traffics.

    Its true I am also doing the same, with that I have acheved a level 3 in yahoo answers, with that I am getting around 30-40 visitors daily and around 200 backlinks from yahoo answers.

    If you are talking about link juice than it will not help, but links from yahoo answers will definitely help you to get some traffic for your website.

    Yep, the link coming from yahoo answers is nofollow. Maybe it can help a little in getting traffic.

    All yahoo answers link have nofollow. There are no option to get your link followed. I mean there are 7 levels and some points systems. But there is no way and chance to get your link with do follow tag.

    So you can not get back links from Yahoo answers.

    When you have answered for a question and some one search for similar query, yahoo answer site will be ranked high. So getting traffic from there is quite interesting option.

    Yes, I am fully agreed with this.i also have done the posting of my sites in Yahoo answer and it ais a very good way to get backlinks and to get traffic.

    Yeah only good for direct link traffic.. but as for the links carrying juice at the moment its worthless..

    As mentioned above, it's only good for getting traffic. Since it uses rel=nofollo the links are basically worthless.

    as previously stated, it is a good source of traffic but holds no source of link juice or SEO benefits. The traffic you get from Yahoo answers are people looking for free things and information, bare this in mind.

    Yahoo Answers is for traffic generation only because it has nofollow tag.
    If you want to build more backlinks, forum posting is very effective. It's not just help your site increase its ranking in serp but also provide traffic for your site.

    I've read that, while nofollow doesn't help with pagerank, the googlebot does still follow them, so it helps lure the googlebot to at least keep your site fresh
