    Hi All,

Can anyone explain to me this.

I just publish a brand new website and working hard to create back links and submit links to directories (been submitting to around 200++ directories). After appr. 2 weeks my domain is indexed by the 3 SEs. But when I checked the back links, All of them give a different links count. What should I do to improve the link count of the other SEs?

Everyone talks about the phantom Google sandbox, but it's also a well known fact that Google sandbags backlinks to. Further, different engines will always have different results.

Also, be aware that different queries can produce different results:

    link:sitename.com
    link:www.sitename.com
    link:http://www.sitename.com
    link:http://sitename.com

Finally, when building a linking campaign, it is important to remain consistent in how you input your link

    http://www.sitename.com/

    » don't vary between http://www.sitename.com and http://sitename.com

Google updates back links aprox. once a month.

So if you have posted you site to the directories after the Oct 19 there is no way to see how many backlinks are crawled by Google.

Google is the most captious SE. It ignores a lot of links directories. So the best way to increase your link popularity is search for high quality link partenrs with PR4 and more manually or with the help of a RLE software. Such as ARELIS, LinkAssistant, SEO Elite, PRCrowler and other.
