Back Links Counting and Forums

    I saw some forums where every new post shows PR 2-4, Is it ture PR ? or there are some forums have good PR like DP, I want to know posting on that kind of forums with signatures, so these signature counts Back Links ? and if these will imporove PR ? . And if signatures counts as Back links, So every thread will counts new Back Link or " One Back Link for one Site" even its on diff pages ?

    you mean like showthread.php?t=220750 & showthread.php?t=220754 show PR?

    this is because the PR is passed from other pages onto showthread.php, google does not do PR for the query string bit ?t=220750, so in the eyes of the google pr bar, showthread.php?t=220750 is the same page as showthread.php

    Look at some of the old threads on DP some of them have PR and some don't. If you do a backlink check with some of the threads from 2004 you will see that google treats them differently and even shows different backlinks for each thread.

    Google knows the difference between showthread.php and showthread.php?XXXXXX.

    The Toolbar PageRank meter can't differentiate between URLs with the same base but differring query strings, but since Google certainly does index such pages as individual URLs and the results of the link: operator differentiate between them, I'd expect their internal databases also calculate PageRank on the same basis for each unique URL.

    this is wrong . showthread.php?t=220750 or showthread.php?t=220751 or showthread.php?t=220752 diffrent from google eyes .

    What is your information source for this ?

    Yes I can prove it I have seen some DP pages where there are my links passing PR1 to my site


    Only some pages(threads) have PR in DP

    Yes, signatures do count as backlinks but how Google weighs them is a different issue..

    please give us link of that forum. if it happens then we will also get some backlinks from there. if they offer such opportunity, then you can get backlinks from different pages. let us check that the forum is do follow or no follow forum.
