Matt Cutts said that there is very likely to be backlink and possibly PR update in the next few days in his blog.

Opps. Sorry, Shawn. I didn't see your post before posting mine...

Surely I explained very bad and you misunderstood. I wanna say that Google never notifies about next updates and so on, and others like Yahoo! sometimes do it. I don't remember nobody at Google saying "the next weekend we'll update PR" or something like that.

    Now savvy?

They keywords here are that the changes will be visible, just in case anyone is hoping for a change in their rankings.

You missed my point. What I'm saying is that people shouldn't hope for a change in SERPs to go along with this update. Google is only making some changes to a green bar and visible backlinks. Rankings won't change because of it.

Yea, they are going to use it as a distraction for SEOs so they talk about the green bar and not the SERP drops (due to bugs, algo changes, loss of data or whatever) that many have experienced.:D

Problem is clearly some things have been shaking up in some segments for the last few weeks... So while Mr. Cutts may be telling the truth.. it doesn't seem he is telling all of the truth.. and has beasically dismissed the rest of it of to just regular fluxing of the serps. I don't think very many people accept that is all that is happening recently... So where it stops who knows... You are right it, it is not going to be a major algo update at this point it seems, but something is still being tweaked and re-tweaked above and beyond normal behavior.
