    Hello Guys,
    Need SEO professional advise.

How much backlinks should it take to rank for a keyword like " Portable Software"?

How you deal with client if you did effort and are unable to rank for his desired keyword ?

    Thanks

It all depends on how popular that keyword is. If other companies have lots of links with that keyword going to their site then it will be more difficult. This term seems quite niche so it shouldn't take too many back links to get there. Remember don't have exact text with the anchor text - try incorperating the brand name in the link too etc.

Dealing with a client when you don't make false promises is much easier than when you promise the sky and can't deliver.

It'll take quite a few backlinks to rank for that keyword, but more importantly is that it'll take time because you can't make a bunch of backlinks all of a sudden and expect Google to let that slide.

It depends on the search volume of the keyword and competition, how far your website is optimized for the keyword.. Not quantity links only quality links are given importance!

dealing with client - check his websites and point out some issues, educate him on the latest updates happen over google from past 5 months..,

You should get backlinks from top ten competitors for that keyword. Competitor analysis is one of the best & fast way to rank keywords and don't use same keyword all time use variations of that keyword.

It totally depends on your competition and your own website. If you have a lot of competition with autority and your website is fairly new, it could be a difficult mountain to climb. Best thing you can do really for better advice is PM me your website and your taget keywords and let me take a look. With some keyword research it will be possible to give you better idea.

I am not making any false promises but in some case you agreed with client to work on project, and after a while you got stuck with some google algorithm how do you manage that. Do you refund and quit his project or charge your fees and leave his project incomplete.
