Hello all Lately I have been doing a check on my site's backlinks and came across a mysterious outbound url. I'm new to this,so I'm not understanding why this link exist, because I only have one page.If you know, please explain this to me.Thank you in advance.
Sometimes, they can be created by plugins or previous edits, even if you only have one page. You might want to dig deeper into your site's settings or consult with an expert to clarify how that link appeared.
It's been a LOOOOONG time since I did anything with with backlinks, but didn't sites use to link to non-existing pages to try and entice people to visit their sites? I seem to remember it happening on Google Analytics all the time. You'd see a weird backlink or referral and visit their site to check it out. Has the domain been used before by someone else before you acquired ir? If it has then it could be a page that was deleted long ago. Either way I think you can still disavow any links to your site that you don't want to remain.
I'm the first owner and that link doesn't look familiar.Digitalpoint would not allow me to post the link in the main section, because it was a redirect,so I put it in the subject area.Could someone be redirecting traffic away from the main page?
