It's no card, it's simply fact. Alot of people watch him for his attitude/entertainment. Many of those who watch him do sadly believe him.
Ratings have nothing to do with being factually correct or not though, not sure where you're going with that..

If anything a man such as him who gets things so wrong so much of the time having ratings as he does is scary as hell reguardless if 50% or 99% of people who watch him believes him.

Fact as far as people watch him for entertainment? I base that off of many people I know who watch him, they can't stand the guy but watch him for the reactions.
I base that off of even his own show, people who watch him can't stand him, the people who write in.
I base that off of watching other programs who talked about him, people admitted watching him for entertainment.

Yes many do watch him for their news, not all though. As for a source I'm sure there is one out there, I do not base it off of printed media though ;)

I would tend to think that people who don't watch him also send him hate mail, and I bet he more than gladly publishes that as well. The facts in this matter is that people like O'Reilly and Rush continually draw higher ratings and have more watchers than other programs. There is a liberal biased to the media, and I can go to the people I know and say that they watch and listen so they can hear the facts and not liberal biased. Much the same way you made your point...so I guess we are a little "even" on this playing field unless we actually had hard evidence.

    I'm not liberal though ;)

I know he's got huge ratings, in any even the truth of the matter in the end is he is wrong alot of the time, his way is simply cutting people off and talking over them. Guess that's my only real point :D

I used to watch him daily from 2000 to about 2002, and then later I did so again - except instead of cheering at the TV I was jeering. He began to get facts wrong about Abraham Lincoln, he stopped letting guests finish a sentence and justified himself in doing so by saying "Well they were spinning" when clearly not a single word had been uttered coherently yet. "SO WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THAT?" "Well I..." CUT HIS MIC, THIS VILE VERMIN IS OUT OF HERE!". I mean, come on. If you're going to have a real show - you have to let the guest say SOMETHING first. You let the guest finish his or her spot - then you can rip them apart. 80% of the time Bill's mouth is open and the guest is trying to say "Wait, hold on, can't I say, what, I, etc..." If someone was that rude to me on the channel I'd say "F--K YOU I AM GOING TO CNN BISH!". And I hate CNN.

Jackuul that would be about the time frame I used to watch it, he appeared in the beginning to be actually truthful. Perhaps for ratings, or power went to his head or something? Not sure but I noticed the same thing, it just got to a point that it was simply sickening. I however again will say I used to watch him every night, I loved it. ;)

What agenda is Olbermann pushing that is pissing you off? Either O'Reilly was wrong in what he said and Olbermann is right or Olbermann is wrong and O'Reilly is right. Checking several sources on the internet lends weight to Olbermann being correct. So why are you now changing the topic to "myopic bluebloods"? The arguement should be about journalists getting their facts right and correcting themselves when they are wrong regardless of politics.

This is actually one of your better posts Jackuul. :)

Most of his stuff is pre-recorded (The Factor is) but I think his radio show is live though.

I think a lot of people who watched him, and Fox in general early on, thought they were getting a counterpoint to CNN et al. It was simply a ploy, much like the "throw the bums out" fake elections.
