I recently posted this on another forum and thought that I would share these ideas with the DP community... Most successful Clickbank or any membership sites will hit the end user with an up sell (VIP Membership, Gold Edition, Etc) right after they purchase. Some sites will even offer a one-time discount on this upgrade knowing that consumers have their credit card in hand and are in buying mode! All of these practices increase profits for both the merchant and the affiliate! What I was surprised by is the number of merchants who don't utilize the "Bonuses" or "Member Benefits / Perks" part of their member area! …Yes, this is where the CPA (Cost Per Action) Networks come into play. Why wouldn’t you want to create a link on the home page of your Member’s area that says ABC’s Bonuses or ABC’s Perks and then offer a few links to offers that are related to yours. It is a simple non-invasive separate page that can bring in hundreds or thousands extra per month for you and if you do it right it will add value to your member’s. Even if you have a unique product here are a few example offers that you could use from ROI Rocket, that a wide range of people are interested in… • eMagazines • eMusic • Seattle Direct Coffee • Discount Poster’s • Win a Vacation …Again you don’t have to push them or recommend them, but how easy is it to setup an autoresponder email to your members saying Thanks for your business, oh and by the way… “Don’t forget to look at our Perks, or don’t forget to view our partnership sites.†I hope this helps a few of the Merchants out there and I am interested to hear any other thoughts on monetizing member areas.
