Why am I selling?
I bought this site a little over a month ago, and gave it a facelift. I got the page rank up, and started submitting it everywhere. I have other projects I am working on and don't have time to focus on this site.

The site has link exchanges with 3 other parenting sites. Currently it is listed in the Click Bank Market Place.

Hosting comes with the site through ace-host.net.

Go to google and type babytutors and you'll see the site come up in lots of places.

Traffic to the site is low but is slowly building. As of now I get an average of about 10 visitors a day, yesterday I had 20 something and the day before like 4 so the traffic varies.

I am still waiting for comfirmation of some of the directories and article sites that I submitted to including DMOZ.

About the site
The site is currently selling whats called a baby tutor kit. It's a collection of articles gathered together in one package. The products page also has other products from click bank. There is a custom clothing section that's not set up, you can remove if you'd like. There are also articles, wallpapers, and other things for the visitors to enjoy. A forum would be a nice addition.

Advertising
Google adwords was hardly bringing traffic, I'm new at that so I may have been using it wrong. Adbrite brought in some traffic, forums, article submissions and directories.

I only wrote one article and submitted it to a few article sites inluding ezinearticles.com.

I spent, tops about 25 - 40 Dollars on advertising the site. Most was spent just experimenting and silly mistakes.

In the one month of traffic you'll notice a drop. This is becuase I changed the ad's on adbrite. I was getting traffic but from all the wrong sites.

Starting bid of $1,500 is WAY too high IMO , please tell me why you put such a high starting bid on this site.

Here's my concerns:

• There are 11 pages indexed in Google (very low).
• Your traffic is minimal.
• It's 5 month old (Created On:09-Jan-2007).
• The traffic drop noticed in May-June is 99% likely to be due to a drop of traffic from SitePoint.
• You haven't given us ANY indication of how much the site is making. No one can invest $1,500+ without knowing there's potential of earning that back. We need some proof of revenue.

Please explain to me your reasons.

 

Currently there are 11 pages indexed, the idea was to keep adding articles and eventually a blog or forum which would increase the page count on the site. Also, I am waiting for confirmation from other sites to include babytutors.info.

Traffic is minimal but is slightly rising, with a little more attention and marketing the traffic can increase greatly.

5 months ago I didn't own the site and it was getting 0 traffic and had a horrible design. I've owned it for a little more than a month, gave it a complete re-design, and built the homepage up to a PR3.

The traffic drop was due to a change in advertising from AdBrite. I had a campaign that was giving me ALOT of impressions and ALOT of traffic, but the traffic was coming from irrelavant sites so I stopped the campaign to focus more on parenting sites.

The site used to be known as babytutors.com and was previously making $900 a month in its prime. Here is a quote from the original owner

I'll reinstate that I purchased the site a little over a month ago, made all of the changes and now I want to sell it. I can't put any more time into it. Also I am not a parent so am at a disadvantage when it comes to marketing on forums about parenting.

The $1500 price tag is becuase anyone who picks this up doesn't have to do anything except market it. Hosting is included, domain is included (of course), baby kit is already zipped and ready for download, site is designed in CSS, has a fresh look. All it takes is a little marketing and this site can take off.

The Baby Kit (eBook) sells for $19.95, and if you're part of clickbank, you can sell other products on the products page.
