I am very good at developing domains. I put up a nice site with unique content, good keywords etc. I just dont know where to go from there. I hear about people just submitting to free directory sites and in no time they are making $XXX range monthly. I dont know how to take the first jump after making the website. Any advice?
What you could do (or you should've done first) is used the Keyword suggestion tool to see what people are looking for but you can still use it now and add content according to the keyword demand. Then visit some of the sites ranking #1 in google for your keywords, see what they have and start adding more unique content relating to the keywords you are targetting. Get reciprocal and one way links (via directories or blogs or other sites) with the desired anchor text...once you start ranking well in search engines and gain some experience with ad placements and so on...you'll start making money (in most cases) It's not that easy to make money...does require a lot of work...(unless you create MFA's)
some people see money in 3 months, others like me may take up to a year. it all depends, but one thing i know: the moment you stop working on that site, that's when the money stops looking for you.
