Baby site

Looking for help and tips on my baby site. Has been going for little while but this is a redesign and have added a lot more content.

Work is still ongoing with the site. I will be adding a baby name database. Also have other new sections to add.

Comments on the design, navigation, content quality and pointing out any mistakes would very much appreciated.

You have put google ad's above the navigation links. For a second i thought your navigation links were part of the google links. I would get rid of the ad's on navigation imo.

As I said still got to add the database.

 

I'd like to see something at the top of each page identifying a name for the site. A logo or some consistent look across the site. Although the URL tells me that the site is about baby names, the content appears to offer much more information than just that. I also agree with previous comment about the Google ads appearing above the main navigation. Nice site though.

You should alter your title, "baby names" > into something like
Baby Names Database and Tips...., better for the search engines.

 

Good looking template and design, good colourscheme. I think there is a large market for baby names, so you could be on to something good here.

 

Design wise,

1) Looks kind of incomplete. No header, footer, about us,contact us etc.

2) The left navigation needs a little spacing. Looks like it is right at the border

It need more graphics design

 

I would get rid of the green as its not considered a baby color to me. I'd go with more delicate colors such as pink, light blue, or colors that make you think babies.
