Does anyone use b2evolution here? I am using it to host 7-8 different blogs and am really pleased with it. The SE's index the content real quick.

Well never tried it. What makes it so good? Have you tried S9y?

I’ll download it and see if I like it. From the preview try had on there site it looked a bit more complicated than s9y.

I tried it out and think s9y is still easier to use. B2 Would be good to manage multiple blogs but either than that I think that the admin panel is easier in both WP and s9y. Joomla has some blogging software now as well so I think there is more than enough to choose from.

For those using WP, how is the search engine response to your new posts?

Googlebot makes multiple visits to my page each day. Just be sure to edit the default permalink structure.

I have heard B2 can have major Spam problems and is not very good at handing comment spam. If I decide to move forward on my multi-user blog I'm leaning toward LifeType.
My WB blog (below) is #1 on all the engines and gets spidered and listed high on all new entries.

Yes, you are VERY right at that point. I am sick of deleting spammy comments and log hits every day.

Yes you can use any CMS for blogging. Joomla has a WP module as well. They are all CMS but WP, S9 and B2 are especially designed for blogging although they can also be used for other projects. ;)

Thanks. I found Drupal a little complicated but I guess I did not spend much time playing around as I was in a hurry to launch the site. I might try that, but it looks like WP will be an easier solution.
