B&W photoshop effects?

    Anyone here know how to take a picture and use a program like photoshop or GIMP to make a picture all Black and white except for a single object?

    It's really easy:

    Create a new file with 2 layers with the photograph

    Make the lower layer black and white (you can do so by lowering the saturation to 0)

    Go to the upper layer and erase the parts around the colored object using the appropriate air brush
