    Hi!

I'm looking for some thoughts on the use of <b> and <strong> tags.

    I have two questions really:

    1. For the purposes of SEO which is better to use?

    2. Say the keyword i'm optimising is 'dogs' should I be marking every mention of the word 'dog' with a b/strong tag? If not....what sort of balance should I be using?

    Thanks! :)

It really doesn't matter which one do you use, but if possible to choose, I'd go with <b>. You can bold your keyword once... or twice. No need to do it too much.

Bold is good, so is Italics and underline

Only need to use each tag once

So if I was to bold on each occurence would I be damaging the page?

take care to have at least one different bolded word than your keyword

for example if you <b>dog</b> three times - <b> at least 2 times two different word
it is better that your bolded text to not be 100% only the keyword if you understand what I mean
