    Hi all,

About three weeks ago I paid $69.95 for a listing on the http://www.azoos.com search engine and directory. The listing should have been added after 24/48 hours but still has not appeared.

What's more is that the site itself is not even functioning. Searches don't work and if you hit a category the page just returns a load of mysql errors. The contact form on the site is also not functioning.

Has anyone got any idea about why the site is riddled with bugs or anyone also waiting for a listing there?

    Thanks

I would say you wasted that $69 by submitting to this directory. This directory uses redirection and does not pass PR.

This directory listing should never have been purchased, I know that now, the key thing I would like to know is if anyone else knows anything about the site or is also waiting.....

I am assuming you paid by credit card....call your company and dispute the charge.

Sorry but thats stupid. PR is not the be all - end all, and basing a directory on PR is not a long term option if you wish to run a successful directory.

Unless they show actual traffic stats, how else are you determining the value?

I don't think its stupid at all.

Well that's not actually anyones fault, other than the directory owner. So maybe it's not stupid but I just think a directory should be more than just PR. Sorry for jumping in full steam ahead.

I agree. With directories, the PR should be the starting point (the type of link you get goes hand to hand) and if they can prove traffic, that just increases the cost.

You are right that PR isn't everything but in the absence of everything else its the only evaluation tool you may have.

    May I critique the site?
Bright Yellow - hate it! :)
Also, right now I'm seeing errors in the PHP on every page.

Did you get your money back Cray?
Most directories don't send you traffic, so PR is all they are about. Anyway, what is going on when these people set up these nasty directories that don't pass on PR, they are being dishonest?

Yep got our money back through the Credit Card company, the purchase was a mistake anyway so it's best all round it turned out as it did.
