Those are basically fixed costs - so technically not scalable. That being said, I think I have room to grow in my market and possibly expand into other markets as well...
You can do well with any affiliate network like CJ or Linkshare OR you can approach merchants that you know have affiliate programs directly..if you are a producer you can obtain higher payouts per sale and per lead that you can get through affiliate networks, so don't limit your self to networks when you can be going direct for a higher payout and more product/service intelligence.
No, I don't mean your costs being scalable, I mean the business model as a whole. Can you spend more money and effectively increase your overall profit?
Although I agree, I doubt at $4000/month he's making much of a blip on the radar screen as far as "producers" go, but yeah -- definitely check. Anyone who can rock $4k/month organically is a winner in my book.
I know what you mean - I'm saying its not the cost that limits me, it's failing to find new niches to promote which causes the problem. More of a lack of creativity than anything else...the costs are basically fixed at any revenue level. Yes, $4000 organically is great, but I like the idea of making $1000-$2000 per day via PPC. I guess the grass is always greener...
i make 3000$ per month with just 600 visitors / day. If you can find ads similar to your content you can earn more from adsense or etc.
I have built blogs in the past that center around azoogle offers. A couple of them went on to average a few hundred dollars a month (the 1-800-Pet-Meds signup offer was nice). The only things that sucks is when you invest the time and energy to build traffic, and all of sudden offer is dropped by azoogle. Bottom line - you can build sites around azoogle offers, but ALWAYS make sure you have a backup affiliate program you can plug in when the offer is dropped.
I was running adsense and when looking at the ads I saw a ton of affiliate ads. Why should I get 0.05 for my traffic when hes getting a buck or more. So I changed my adsense from a half bar to a quarter bar and made my own affiliate offer the second half. So instead of some other dudes zip submit its now mine. Pays way more than adsense.
