I've had two instances in the past six weeks where I sent good quality traffic to an offer but it never made it to the Azoogle offer I promoted. The first time the merchant complained and they redirected my traffic to a page that said I violated their terms of service even though I did not violate any terms. (They ended up reviewing my site and domain and saying everything was fine.) The second time the merchant changed the offer completely so the customer had to pay significantly more out of pocket. But no one told me. We have been paying for and sending traffic to it over the past 5 days and just identified that the merchant's landing page had changed. Even the Azoogle site was not correct until my rep got my e-mail this morning. Note: This was the same merchant for both so it could be a merchant issue - but isn't that what Azoogle's supposed to take care of?
what kind of offers are these? Talk to your affiliate manager. They tend to be helpful in these situations. Some merchants suck, and will not cooperate no matter what.
also hate to put it this way but why the world are you only checking on a new campaign EVERY 5 days... heck when i do new campaign i am checking hourly for stats etc... While i am not saying what they did is right but it does happen (sometimes the landing page is changed by the merchant and even AZ isn't notified it happens). I have had offers (not just Az but other networks also) re routed and was never notified untill i noticed BUT usually they do contact u especially if you are driving volume to offer.
Both issues were with the Girls Gone Wild offer - #3843. I have talked to my manager but the vibe I get is that there's little he can do.
It was not a new campaign it had been running for 6+ weeks. I regularly check my stats but with the long weekend and everything I didn't think much of it. I noticed we hadn't had any conversions in a few days - which was strange - and then decided to click through and check the landing page. It was then that I realized that the merchant's landing page had changed. Azoogle didn't even know about it until a week after it happened, and only because I brought it to their attention. Between Azoogle and the merchant it seems like someone dropped the ball on it. And of course I am frustrated to have paid for 400+ clicks that basically got thrown away.
Same happened with me and the GGW campaign - I was running PPC for it, and switched to RocketProfit's GGW affiliate link (really $1 up front), and it converts like crap. Literally, 300 extremely targeted (read: branded) clicks on an ad that had full disclosure of any costs, and a big 0 leads converted. I've never ran a branded (let alone any other targeted campaign) that resulted in 0 leads out of 300, and I'm pulling in tons of leads and sales per month with my other programs. I'd almost be inclined to say that GGW is fucking affiliates and not tracking properly.
