Azoogle called me to verify my application and they asked me for my ss # over the phone. Did anyone else get asked this over the phone?
Neither way is advised, and with the rampant id theft I can hardly believe azoogle is using this type of process to validate accounts. Very bad practice and should be avoided at all costs!
This is untrue. I have been with loads of affiliates and never have given any ss via email or over the phone. I have had to go through about 20 - 40 phone calls to validate that I am actually the rightful owner of the account and I have included the right phone number and address, but I have never had to give any ss. I didn't even get a phone call from Azoogle. I had to send my stuff via postal male which didn't have to include the SS I don't think.
Azoogle has called me for ssn verification over the phone once it's near tax time, so they can send their tax info.
Wow, this thread surprised me, very bad practice by Azoogle, with the increase in ID theft over the past several years mhclysmic
I think to know true address, because they want to know truth from which you write down phone numbers
