I am actually using a 2 pronged-attack... 1) I am doing what AJ promoted (Google Content, LP's designed to match the keyword I am promoting, etc.). On my LPs, I place an image of whatever keyword I'm targetting... so if I my keyword is 'Cat Food' , I will get a picture of a cat or cat food and place it on my LP. On the top of my LP, I will put a headline that say's something like 'Cat Food Ringtones'. The thing that I am not doing that A.J. does for his campaign is the extra landing page that leads to the ringtone page. 2) I use Google search only for those keywords that I feel are highly targeted towards someone who will be in the mindset of purchasing ringtones (ex. Cat Food Ringtones, Cloverfield Ringtones). In fact, if there are more than 3 pages of sponsored search pages for a keyword I am targetting, I won't touch Google Search for that keyword... I will just use Google Content.
Well, what do you know....After many, many failed campaigns (mostly on search), I started one yesterday specifically for content and used the "site placement" option. It's a very highly searched for topic so probably costs boatloads on search. I've had 4 clicks and spent a whopping 58 cents. I actually had a damn sale and made $38.79 in commission (it's a Clickbank item). Now, I certainly wouldn't expect this type of ROI to be anywhere near consintently accurate but I guess it will be something to keep an eye on. I might have a winner here. And I'm direct linking too....no landing page. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Same problem here - I called azoogle couple of times.. everytime I caught someone he just told me to "hang on" and then pass me to the voice mail ... Same with neverblueads.
Azoogle took a few weeks or so to even get back to me. I had even forgotten that I applied, so when the phone call came I was like "You're who? From where?" And in the back of mind I kept wondering what the heck he was talking about asking me about creatives and all that...LOL! It's a wonder I got approved at all. Anyway, I haven't made much headway yet. This might sound like a silly question but I noticed mention of content network on AJ's thread, and here I also noticed the mention of content again, and Google content. What does this mean exactly? I mean, I know generally what content is, but what does it mean in this context? thanks
Good one! LOL I'm kind of out of ideas. Santhana has an interesting home page. Maybe I can come up with something.
Okay, here we go....(hopefully, I'm not crossing the line with this one but I couldn't resist). LOL Words of wisdom by (you know who) from the blog post Getting Job Sucks! : Remember a job is like a bridge or a step when you feel comfortable and the right time comes just kick those job asses away.
FRIENDS, THE POINT IS... DON'T GIVE UP UNTIL YOU GET WHAT YOU WANT ! I was expecting an answer from a network ( not Azoogle, i don't care about them anymore..) for a long period too. I was willing to do whatever it would take to get my plan going. I was actually ready to hop on a plan and grab them by their neck LOL . And i finally got the answer i needed. As my favorite motivational speaker ( Les Brown ) says... IT"S NOT OVER UNTIL YOU WIN !
Webgen, What is your max CPC on the content network for your landing pages with the ringtone offers? I tried CPM a few days ago and it was major SUCK to me. Went through $50 on only 26 clicks. Don't think I'll be using that pricing model again.
I'm going to start a petition to bring Alf back to the air! CPM in the words of our friend IS SUCK! Just do regular content. Depending on what topic I'm promoting... usually it'll range from $.25-$.75 for my max bid. I always start on the low end, run it for a day and see what my stats are. If I don't get enough clicks... I'll raise up the max bid.
I don't think there's any question as to whether you have my signature. Incidentally, I do it this way too.
I do 2 ringtone offers (Flycell for the major carriers & Ringtones.net for the small carriers). For some reason, Ringtones.net records clicks as impressions... while Flycell doesn't track impressions, only clicks. So... All the impressions you see are clicks to Ringtone.net All the clicks you see are clicks to Flycell
Okay, I took some sleep aid last night to help me fall asleep and I guess I was out of it because I couldn't understand one of my posts on a different thread. LOL Anyway, I made this and hopefully, I didn't post it somewhere else randomly.
