Selling AYResearch.com: PR4 Established Freelance Article Network and Directory

Ok. So here is a quick summary of what is on sale here:

AYResearch.com (The domain name/The brand): Provides instant credibility with readers, writers, advertisers. Many people assume there is a print publication of the same name ("Oh, I've heard of you guys -- I read your magazine at my doctor's office, etc).

Aged PR4 domain name. - Site established in 2008, currently PR4, with a lot of powerful links added.

Premium website design. - Uses the Thesis Wordpress SEO theme ($147)

Built on WordPress. You don't have to have any coding knowledge to operate the site. If you want to change the design / functionality, there are a million people you could hire to do the work (for very little money). Easy system for writers to work with.

Versatile and Minimalistic Feel. Simple, clean and minimalistic design that gives an established, credible feel to the site.

150+ Unique High Quality Content, written for the site.

700+ Comments (I used to get a lot of comments, but then deleted all, and put off comments on all pages in order to avoid losing link juice) – So there are no comments now.

100+ Registered members database.

Free Content. I get emails on a regular basis for people wanting to be write for me. Many send samples of content which can be used on the site (they agree to this) I haven't taken advantage of this resource, but you'll get all of the submissions, so you can leverage this content source.

Potential to sell for 6-7 figures. With the right owner and resources, this site could become BIG! ...probably something better than ArticlesBase, GoArticles or even EzineArticles.

Linked to from well known, authoritative sites: The site enjoys a trust rank in Google (that is why it has a PR of 4). For e.g. 50+ Links from EzineArticles itself. I have had a LOT of link building done for the site. So, you can leverage this base you've got.

I've had a great time working on this site, but I've realized that I've taken the site about as far as I can right now. I've got a lot of other personal commitments at present, and that's left little time to continue to grow this site. I'd rather see it go to someone who can take it to the next level.

The brand has enormous potential. When you talk to people and say you're from AYResearch.com they instantly assume you're a legitimate company with a large staff. This would work to your advantage in dealing with advertisers and securing ads. This was the next logical step for me (direct advertiser contact, product reviews) after the traffic would grow, but I haven't been able to find the time to do so.

In addition to articles written by others on diverse topics, the site would do go with affiliate sales, by you writing and selling different products.

Some technical info -- I'm hosting the site on my Shared Hosting account. It uses very minimal resources, given that it's a WP site that's well coded.  I can transfer the site to your hosting server.

Financial Details:

I'm not looking to sell this site on a revenue multiple -- I'm more interested in designing and building than monetizing, so the site is NOT MONETIZED.  There's a lot of brand equity, good potential in the site. The right owner will be able to do WAY more with the site than I could.

Money Matters: The topics on the site are diverse in nature from GEL manicure to Birthday parties.. hence advertisements could pay anything between $0.30 to $2.50 a click. The total revenue was not important t this point, but the CPC value is high, so with increased traffic, AdSense would likely be a strong performer.

There's a natural opportunity for affiliate links, but I haven't integrated them yet. Obviously, related products would work well, and you could also submit your own reviews which would rank in Google easily. ESPECIALLY for new products that do not have much competition initially.

You could setup an ad block on BuySellAds.com at a low price. Direct ad sales would bring in a higher dollar amount. $50-100 per 125 x 125 ad block (per month) would probably be a reasonable amount to charge going forward until traffic grows.

You could also make a bunch of money selling text links on the site, if you're so inclined.
Once the new owner gets traffic up you'll have the opportunity to pursue CPM advertising. BlogHer and Glam Media are natural fits for this type of site, and I'd expect them to be interested if the traffic grows.

The site gets about 20000 hits per month. Mostly from search engines.
The traffic comprises of readers, writers and all kind of curious information hungry people. I don't use Analytics for stats, instead use AWSTATS. Screenshots have been attached and Video proof is provided.
