Just seeing if anyone else is seeing the same thing: that axill only counts about half of the impressions you send them for the CPM offer. I sent them 70,000 impressions in one day. They counted only 34,000. Since I use phpadsnew, I figured, no problem, I'll just send them 34,000 impressions. So, for two days, I sent them 34,000 impressions per day. Both days, they only counted around 17,000-18,000. Is anyone else seeing this? All of the other networks I'm with, once I figured out their fill rate, they more or less fill 85-100% of the impressions I send them. I can't figure axill out.
Axill stats are pretty accurate for me. They only count 1 show even if you have more than 1 banner - maybe this is what you are doing. Also you must display the banner only on a website that is aproved by Axill.
Thanks for the input, at least I know it's not across the board. But no, I am only showing one banner per page, and it is only for my one website that they approved. I definitely understand if they are off now and then, but it's been every day, they only count about 40-50% of the impressions I send them.
They pay decent though (nowhere near "great" but certainly better than a lot of other ad networks of their size). Otherwise, yeah, this'd be a no-brainer. haha
Oh, I wouldn't be surprised if Axill WAS cheating you, because I'm sure they've been cheating me for a while now as well. .30-cent flat CPM is not bad, but their impression counts are, as you said, well below the real numbers. The thing about Axill is, you can't trust them. These guys write you personal checks as payment, for God's sake, so you know, they're not exactly professional. I've accepted that they are cheating me out of money every month because, frankly, they are too "down there" in my CPM chain for me to care too much about. But as soon as I get a decent replacement, they're OUTTA there. PS. Their publisher CP is sh*t, just like their whole network, if you ask me.
Axill counts impressions from US and Canada only..might be you r getting 50% traffic fom US and Canada..
I've taken that into consideration. It wouldn't surprise me to learn they're working out of a warehouse somewhere in New Jersey, where they're based.
The past 3 days, I've sent them only US & Canada traffic via geo-targetting. It *has* improved, from generally 40-50% count to about 65% count. But all the other ad networks I'm part of match 85-100% of what my stats say, which is a range that I'm comfortable accepting as "accurate enough". Axill is still way off. I wouldn't mind 80%, but 65% is barely 2/3. Other little details are also beginning to lead me to suspect the same thing as jackburton2006. OTOH, globe7 -- which appears to be professional -- only allows you to affiliate with them via axill. So it's kinda odd. Unfortunately, the only CPM networks that I have that pay better are 24/7 Real Media and Burst Direct, both of which have a terrible fill rate (not to be confused with a terrible impressions count which is what my complaint against Axill is about). So I guess I'll stick with them for now, despite losing about 1/3 of my impressions. It sounds like they do pay, even if it is someone's personal check (sigh...).
New information! Well, at least new for me. But I emailed them and they responded by saying that NOT ONLY do they count just US/Canada traffic, but they only count one impression every 24 hours per IP. I wasn't aware of this and it isn't really stated clearly in their Terms. But anyway, this may account for the last bit of discrepancy. I'm testing it out today and, if anyone's still interested at this point, I can report back what I find. (Obviously, jackburton2006's points still stand with regard to Axill's professionalism, or lack thereof.)
I'm not surprised. They tend to make up rules as they go. One of their rule is that you can't have more than one of their banners on a page, because they only count one page/one impression. I check their TOS and this wasn't mentioned anywhere in there. Axill is NOT professional, but they do pay, so that's something...
Yeah, but you need to apply for each website individually, and they give you individual accounts, so if you have 5 sites, you need 5 individual accounts -- 5 separate accounts, 5 separate log-ins, 5 separate CP, 5 separate everything. 5 separate checks, etc. That's just another unprofessional thing about them.
