awstats question

    Hey lets say i have a website www.website.com and i have a subdomain 123.website.com and the visitors go to 123.website.com

    will the awstats show visitors on in the subdomain stats or my main domain www.website.com stats also?

    I cant check right now but isnt there a link in cPanel for subdomain stats? Could be wrong, im tired.

    You can login into your cpanel and theres a link to Subdomain stats :)

    sorry my question must be confusing lol...

    there is a subdomain place in cpanel but lets say a visitor visits my subdomain will the visitor only appear and update in my subdomain stats or my actual main domain also?

    Yeah, it will get into both domain stats. You can check the place named Most Viewed Pages to see some people who have visited your subdomains. (Counted as sub directory of main domain)

    The visitor that visit your subdomain will not show up in the main domain stats. If he did, it would be impossible to know the stats of the main domain alone.

    o that sux...well im making a website it has alot of stuff in the navigation area like games, music, video etc....do u thnk i shuld make subdomains for each or no?

    That does not suck actually. Its best that way, but maybe we are not talking about the same thing ?

    Anyway, do not make subdomains for the navigation area, that would suck.

    on hostgator - the cpanel has a thing called "subdomain stats"
