Actually this is a question beyond Awstats... what is the difference between the following terms -

    1.) Unique visitors
    2.) Number of visits
    3.) Pages
    4.) Hits

Is unique visitors just a unique visitor?
Is number of visits how many times the unique visitor visited?
Is pages how many pages were opened?
Is hits... well how does that compare?

    Please clarify.

    Thanks!

1.) Unique visitors - How many different IP address's visited your site
2.) Number of visits - How many times your visitors came to the site
3.) Pages - How many different pages were visited
4.) Hits - Useless, counts everything. For instance each time a single image is displayed is a hit
