As of today 93% of my site's traffic is "Direct Adress/ Bookmarks" 1% SE 5% Links from external page Obviously, most of my traffic is coming from referrals, people emailing others about my site. I used to be able to see in the "links from external page" section where my links were coming from- generally forums or blogs- and go there, introduce myself, and network with others in the industry. Now, my "links from external pages" is only showing email accounts, not sites. I know people are still posting links in blogs and forums from my Wordpress backlinks... I'd love to be able to see more from Awstats- is there any way to do so? This is what I see now... not very useful:
There should be a link in the referring site section that says "Full List" if you click that you can view all referring sites.
Thanks, that worked, mostly to find more email hosts, lol! Now, how can I go about finding the SOURCE of referrals like this: http://boards.babycenter.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx - brought me 300+ visitors http://www.momys.com/index.php or http://www.dallasareamoms.com/forums/showthread.php ? Short of reading through huge sites or forums, how can I find the thread with the link to my site? Thanks!!
There's no real set in stone way to do it, if the site has a search function you can usually search for your site. Other stat programs can tell you what sites people are coming from if there are variables on the end. One example I use is Analog stats. It's really ugly but it will tell you. Good luck.
