Here are some awesome tools that you can use for your ecommerce business. Hopefully someone finds them useful. If you guys have any tools that you use in your ecommerce business please feel free to add them to this thread.

    1. Google Chrome / Mozilla Firefox – These are amazing completely free web browsers that are probably already in use by many. What makes these web browsers special are their extendibility, you can find extensions for pretty much any purpose with these browsers which makes them perfect for any online business or internet marketer. (I’ll eventually make a new thread or add to this one with some awesome extensions that would help you out in your ecommerce business.)

    2. Notepad++ - This little piece of software is an amazing text editor that is complete free and supports many different programming languages including HTML and CSS. So if you want to crank out some handmade websites or do a little coding for your Shopify or WordPress ecommerce site – this little tool could come in handy.

    3. Libre Office – This is an open source free office suite alternative to Microsoft Office. It’s pretty good to boot. It comes with a word processor, presentation software, and spreadsheet software to name a few. It also support files made in Microsoft Office.

    4. Gimp – This is an open source free Photoshop alternative. It can pretty much do anything Photoshop could do with a little practice. You could use it to crank out some awesome ads or web designs.

    5. Mail Chimp – This is a free (limited featured) auto responder. You can get up to 2,000 subscribers for free and also send up to 12,000 emails a month. There are limitations for the free subscription but you could also upgrade to the affordable pro packages.

    6. WordPress – This is a content management system that you could use with the help of plugins to make an awesome self-hosted ecommerce site. You can search this very forum on help to get this type of site up and running.

    7. Storenvy – This is a site much like eBay and Shopify. It allows to make your own storefront (which are high quality sites with the help of a little coding) and also list your products on their marketplace and your site. You gain traffic you send to your site and also traffic from the marketplace which is much like a social marketplace where shoppers can envy your products (much like a Facebook like or Google +1) and stay updated on more products from you. The best thing of all is that it is complete free! For your site and listing on the marketplace. There isn’t even a product limit to your stores or transaction fees. You keep what you sell. It is definitely worth checking out.

    8. Fiver – Everyone should know that Fiver is a great marketplace to get outsourcing work done quick and on the cheap. But Fiver has also grown in to an amazing site to get just about anything done and with real high quality as well. Their graphic design section is worth checking out.

    9. Aliexpress – This is a Chinese wholesale marketplace where you can find suppliers to supply you with products for sell at a low price. But be warned – like anything dealing with china you have to watch out for scammers but they are plenty of legitimate suppliers on the site.

    10. launchrock.co – Looking to build hype for your site launch and build a new customer base? Use launchrock to make a free launch landing page and build that hype for your new upcoming site.

Hope these tools help you guys out. Best of luck to your ecommerce success!!
