I'm very excited to see these new features... Gonna wait on my own board, because I'm lazy. Why did it take longer than normal? Did you have to modify your own plugins, etc?
Yeah, it's pretty exciting - and good to see it working on a large busy board like this. Makes me more confident about putting it out for my clients.
Took longer than other upgrades because there were some table alterations that needed to happen on the big table (post). Info on all the new stuff that 3.6 adds can be found here: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=186803
Yup I took a read of it The infraction system is much needed, I've been using the inferno one, but i really want one that's "kosher" They still don't have a "sort threads by date they were posted feature" that one's really useful and the signature stuff too
One of the major new things (for end users) is the multi-quote system. The button lets you take multiple posts to quote on a reply. Kind of handy.
It's there... check the "Thread Start Time" under the Sorted By section of Display Options when looking at a forum.
oh kickass!!!!! i'm not sure if they mentioned it in the post but this is great!!! i may have to install....is it the regular install system? just that it takes longer to process?
does the report post still send email by default? i have a plugin that posts it in a forum (moderator forum) makes it much easier also are you able to upgrade if you're still on 3.5.3? lol vbulletin's forum are slower than here
The "Report A Post" option has some new stuff (one of them being to automatically start a thread about it in a specific forum). I still would prefer them to go to a queue (like moderated posts or whatever), but hey... it's a step in the right direction.
Believe me this is too good !!! And as shawn mentioned, certain features are pretty handy-dandy!!! The reputation system doesnt any longer require a new page to open!!! All in all a very nice work!!! Way to go Shawn!!! Way to go DP!!! As long as the boards are there, am in !!! (as long as am not banned .. ofcourse) Abhishek
Where's diplay options? and I'd rather it didn't show an alert, wonder what it'd say if you gave a negative // tries to finds someone who deserves a red j/k Cant get the hang of this multiquote thingy!
