    Maybe you are interested in another kind of promotion for your website : Press Release.

    Check out : http://www.articleszones.com/

    You can post press releases about your site : why is it awesome, what makes it special and so on.

    The editor is very powerful, you can create very nice press releases if you want to. Plain text is also ok.

    Your press release will have a static page, with only your author link, plus an appearance on the front page.

    In my opinion much more effective than a directory submit.

    All backlog cleared, first week will end with over 900 links and a good established reputation.

    The beautiful part of this rating system is the perfect control over the quality of the links...

    Without it the links will be lost in the maze but in this way i can acces groups of links at any moment with a couple of sql lines :D
