Strictly the 2 choices. I know there are other options that might be more effective and cost efficient. Would appreciate your inputs Alvin
I just manage lists on my own server. I've never felt that there was really a reason to subscribe to a third party for this. I guess if I was hitting the wall with my ISP there might be a need, but I send out to my lists slowly so that has never been a problem. Having said that, I've at least heard of aweber and know a few people who are very happy customers of theirs. I have never even heard of pure leverage, so if I absolutely had to vote, I guess it would be for aweber, based on my limited knowledge.
I got a friend of mine to code me a custom system, hosting it on my hostgator account, it has 250 people in it, and it works nicely, There is no need for any third party tools
MailChimp, GetResonse are good alternatives to Aweber. Though managing things on your own server is not that bad choice, Interspire Email Marketer is very good script.
Now before I begin let me say that I'm an aweber customer. Aweber are not the best company for integration. In fact they're are pretty much stuck in the dark ages. MailChimp, GetResonse are good alternatives
