I'm planning to get an autoresponder in the near future to start building my list. Wich one would you recommend? I heard Aweber and GetResponse are the best. How many of you are actually using their services and are satisfied with it? And is there anyone who are using other autoresponders? Thanks for all help, ianmarks
I see a bunch of people using aweber, although I haven't used it myself. (I use a custom script I wrote.)
I personally use Getresponse. I've had no trouble with it whatsoever, it's perfect for my cause at least.
It'd be almost 50-50 split me thinks. The two companies are great..go with any of them and you won't regret. Getresponse is a little cheaper if money is a factor. But, they're both great, Check out their tos and go with the one that fits you the most. Personally, I use GR. I have used emailaces but GR suits my needs better. I don't use an in-house script to keep headaches away. I love Get Response! Best, Ana
I use GetResponse which is fairly easy to use however there are some snags I have found with it... -> Need HTML formatted e-mails to track open up and click through rates; these are more likely to be considered spam. -> There are no form templates for your opt-in box; meaning you need to know HTML/CSS if you want to make your opt-in area nice and pretty. -> You can't fully customize "confirm subscription" e-mails; i.e. "Thanks for joining my newsletter"... "This is hosted by GetResponse E-mail marketing" It's by no means perfect but does the job and their customer support is very good; whether those flaws come with Aweber I'm not sure. Colm
I personally use Aweber. This service is very good. Their cloaking system is good, so it helps marketers to increase traffic. I highly recommend this.
You guys might consider the new guys on the block, Mailum. The coolest thing about the software is that you install it on your own server.
I have found that aWeber provides great service, and they do everything they can to prevent spam complaints, so that helps me to maintain my business credibility better. I think both are good for different business needs; you just need to weigh the pros and cons of costs vs. features.
Does it make sense to split a list in 2 parts and use both companies (Aweber and GetResponse) ? Can you add your current list of email when you start working with those companies ? How many newsletters do you send ? (I do have a network of websites and send 1 newsletter/week on sunday night/monday morning - in the past, I used to send 2 newsletters/week)
