Time for us to switch to a free autoresponder? http://www.free-software-download.us/at/freeautoresponder.html
I canceled my account. I was still in the first 30 days, so I got my money back. Even though they claim that you can stick with your old plan, there is no guarantee they just won't force you to upgrade in the future. Running too different systems is too much of a pain in the butt. All they have to do is hold my list hostage and force me to upgrade to get it.

I have been using PHP list for a couple of months with no spam filter problems. It runs from my own site and it is an aged site so that probably plays a roll in not getting blacklisted. As long as the people want to email you send they can whitelist your url and PHP list is free. I am saying good by to Aweber forever.
I have accounts with Aweber and GetResponse. As long as Aweber does not raise my price under the plan I am on I will stick with them. They have always done good by me. However, I have had no problems with GetResponse in the past either, except they are very slow in delivering on the co-reg lead packages.
I love GetResponse service because the videos that they offer to teach you are great. Never had a problem with them.
In old pricing, Aweber charge $19.95/month for up to 10,000 contacts. But in new pricing (with new features), Aweber charge $19.95/month for up to 500 contacts and $69/month for up to 10,000 contacts.
WOW that's a massive price increase, over 300%. The original pricing seems reasonable, the new pricing seems a little too overpriced.
That's absolutely insane. I was thinking of going with Aweber a couple months ago but now - HELL NO I'm checking out GetResponse. I bet they are thanking the heavens for this move by Aweber.
they are. you might want to get that signature changed. does anyone know if it affects current members? i can just imaging the pain of transferring the db over
But guys, I understand your frustration when it comes to Aweber's overpriced subscription. But, they oughta have a reason for doing it. I did a basic search on the keyword "autoresponders" and it seems like getresponse is their biggest rival. Why would a company give a ridiculous new price when they know that their customers will move to getresponse? Maybe there are few factors to consider: 1) Getresponse UI is so bad, that Aweber is so confident that people will go to them (regardless of the price) 2) Maybe customer service of Getresponse is so bad as well? 3) Just maybe is because Hotmail spam filters really hate getresponse, I received getresponse subscription mails within a few minutes while hotmail take days... This debate is really hard to take sides, when I am trying to spend less to earn more...
Write your own autoresponder like I am doing (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=900235). At least that way you will get it doing exactly what you want! Ry
