Aweber email marketing

Ok im moving over to Aweber from another email service and I have some questions that I hope you guys can answer.

The first question is that I noticed that Aweber require you to put your personal information in all email you send. It's not that i sell illegal drugs and stuff but I have some gambling related lists and some other that I dont really like to provice my personal information. Is it ok to write something else here and just fake a name and information?

Next question is if Aweber is right for me? All I have talked to say the best thing is to start out with Aweber. I have already built lists in other places and as we all know you cant move a list with resending the join email. I use my lists mostly as news offers (especially in gambling). There is no need for an autoresponder since my emails will be offers only lasting for some time. However in the future i might build other lists and the autoresponder might come handy.

Well, sorry for lots of blabbing but I guess I wonder if Aweber is for me. I make ok money on webpages so the cost is no problem for Aweber but I dont like the forced personal information input. Maybe another service would be better for me since I have seen a lot of other who dont require you to send your personal information to everyone in your lists.

    Br,

I would recommend using your own service if you have a big enough email list.

Other than that, aweber, and getresponse would definitely suffice with what you are doing.

Building a list via aweber is GREAT (not just good) but importing lists is near impossible. Just too much pain in importing IMO

I have used GetResponse for 2 years now. Their autoresponders have worked fantastic. Their prices are great. I use a separate autoresponder for each product I sell, so I can follow up with emails customized to that product. I love it! I use the autoresponders to obtain referrals too..you should definitely try it

CAN SPAM laws require that you include your business information in every email you send. If you are a sole proprietor, then that is just you. Fake the information and not only might aweber terminate your account, but you would then be subject to prosecution.

Your best bet - incorporate or form an LLC and use that contact info in your emails.

Aweber is definitely the best autoresponder out in the market , their support is good and the whole process of getting started is extremly easy

I just moved to Aweber early this month. Be prepared to lose some of your subscribers as you need to send mails to them for confirmation again. Many of them won't bother to confirm!

    Aweber is the best.
I had the same concern about fake address. It's required by CAN SPAM laws.
Though modifying a little doesn't seem to be a problem; I live in a city close to Los Angeles, but I put my city name as "Los Angeles".
If you search the address in google or mapquest it will still return the exact address.
Not to fake, but it can leave a little room to breathe.

I like aWeber. They are pretty good.

BUT, if you're trying to import your list... virtually ANY service is gonna be a pain in the ass. Add to that, you're not going to get more than 50% re-subs. All in all, it's best not to ask them to re-sub UNLESS its some drastic situation.

Its a great service but you will loose subscribers on the opt in. Think of it this way they will be even a more targeted list people who really enjoy what you have to offer. The ones you loose are likely not opening what you send then anyhow.
