I'm trying to understand Aweber and how much it costs both by lists and subscribers. Currently I have one list that I just started, it has a whopping 7 subscribers after one day and I'm paying $19/mo. If I were to add another list, would I be charged 2x $19, or will I be charged just $19/mo? How does it work? Is it by list and subscribers or subscriber total only?
Try getresponse or verticalresponse. You might get a better deal from either of the two email marketing providers than from aweber.
TrafficWave.net AutoResponders are always a flat rate of $17.95 per month, regardless of your list size.
btw, Getresponse also has a leads price rise too... when you get over 10,000 leads they will charge $5 extra per 5000 leads over 10K leads.
I've been experimenting with an Affiliate "Cloaking" utility that combines Viral email marketing and a Banner Exchange program that has shown me clearly, the autoresponder of choice by those in the know (the Pro's) is clearly the Aweber email marketing tool. Here's my semi-scientific analysis. Until I decide to pony up the fee to become a Gold Member ($149) I have to tolerate getting incoming emails for Gold Members. What is useful in this test is this... I created a filter in Gmail so all these unsolicited adverts go into a special folder. I quickly scan the HEADLINES to see what catches my eye (finding a good headline can be a real asset). I have noticed that well over 75% of the incoming adverts use the Aweber generated autoresponder link in their promo piece. The numbers clearly show Aweber is the tool of choice when it comes to what email marketing and autoresponder utility to use. Then again, if you are on the receiving end of an email campaign used by some of the Big Boys (Mike Filsaime, Derrick Van Dyke, Frank Kern, Kris Jones) and you notice what utility they use -- you'll quickly discover Aweber is once again, the tool of choice. Besides, IMHO, doing business with a made in America company is fine by me.
