Man there is no more info .... AWD is 4x4 of vehicles with four wheels ... power on all 4 wheels

6x6 is also all wheel drive ..... that means power is on all 6 wheels ....

4x2 is 4 wheel vehicle with power on 2 wheels .. either front or rear ...

Well I knew that, and it's why I said that you made sense.

But there's people that believe there's a difference apart from the number of wheels.

I am just trying to find out exactly that.

Your opinion is that, apart from the # of wheels involved, there's no difference.

I am now waiting for any other differing or matching opinions.

    Thanks for yours!

    :)

There is no difference ..... all wheel drive is power on all wheels and 4x4 is power on all 4 wheels and that means AWD

Alright my friend, do you have something to back it up?

Not that I challenge your opinion, but just to make sure it's right so I can use it in the face of some people who think differently...

Man there is nothing to back it up ... IT IS ALL WHEEL DRIVE
Some companies mark their cars AWD, others 4x4, then others like 4Matic( Mercedes ), some do it by one letter as BMW uses X, then VW uses 4Motion etx etc etc but all is ALL WHEEL DRIVE

This is funny man ... where do you get people who thinks AWD is different from 4x4

There are tons of cars that use 4x4 too.

Get it in your head ... IT IS THE SAME !

This is frustrating .... I really don't understand how you can doubt it is not the same ??? I am getting kind of angry here :(

Are people really that stupid ?
