Avoiding Scams- The Egold Option

I almost got scammed a while ago when I first joined this forum "kwellchick" wanted to play a smart one on me but when she asked for the domain first bcos she is a more popular on the forum I checked into her her itrader rating,I saw the last 3 were filling with allegations of bad biz, scams etc, when I confronted her I got no reply and then she was banned from the forum.

It's time we start considering alternatives to paypal.

With so many problems the past couple of weeks about scammers giving domainers a bad run, I think it's time we consider the egold option, why not use egold for smaller transactions and escrow or bank wire for larger ones.

Paypal should be used for only tested and trusted people. Egold offers no chragebacks so you can be sure when you are paid you are paid.

Because egold is hard to fund and you need to pay fees for funding. Moneybookers seem to be best alternative. This thread should be in General Chat not here.

I have listed few domains with PR and usually it sale like hot cake, but since this 'scamming domain issue' it's hard to make people bid knowing they might get scam like those unfortunate victim. I'm guessing domain sale will be slow this time around.

Go for Moneybooker for an alternative payment.

There are plenty of options to secure your transactions. I tend to use moneybookers if possible , and have used (and will continue to use) escrow services from Sedo and Escrow.com.
