Back to your question - You are right to some extent. But it is not completely true!!! (Don't scold me for this)

If you make great websites in the above niche that can give a WOW feeling to your visitors, you win. Yes, this is true. I will not clicks adsense ads from a scrapy website. Even if the ad interests me, I copy paste the url in the browser. At the same time, if it is a quality website, I do not fear to click the ad. Even I think, let me click ads. This web admin is striving hard to give great, world class information and by clicking one ad I am not going to be a poper.

You can always argue this. But this is my point of view and this is true. While I always accept your point if you provide middle level or low class content.

Some great websites that are in your niche and are earning tons of adsense revenue are

work at home forum
stat counter

Even in this post, I link them with their primary keyword as anchor text, because I love them and want them to grow in their revenue as they are helping me in lot of my daily ways by giving out free information.

 

In every rules there's an exception.. The websites you posted are big websites and of course they will make money.. talking about creating a website from zero with the niches I mentioned, I think that will be a problem... But those websites that are already stable, no problem at all.. Like DP, not all members here knows what's adsense and everyday, hundreds of new people coming to this forum so its normal they will click ads...

 

Great input. I am experiencing this on my celebrity site that has a good number of visitors and with high CTR percentage. Visitors of my blog are very eager to get news so they always click ads..

Yes, I am afraid that niche is the most important element for those who want to make money on Adsense. Niche is like the strategy, and other elements such as seo, ads placement are just technology. If the strategy sucks, no matter how savvy you are, you are doomed to lose in the end. This is a great tip.

 

I think if someone else uses Adsense they will always check out other people who use it (to see what type of ads etc they have) so maybe they will click to check them out too!

 

Titing , The logic is right . However if that being the case(It is! ) our future looks bleak since net is getting popular and the younger generation is exposed to website monetization. May be the future belongs to CPA .Selection of Niches could postpone the death but cannot make this industry immortal??!!

 

I think the celeb catagory should be added to that list. I see many people here complaining about low click payouts on this subjuct.

 

I disagree with the OP here.
I have a 'make money at home' type of blog with all unique content .
I get less than 5% ctr average. But the revenue is really good. And I am satisfied with it.
I think the secret is to target the right traffic. I have placed my links on entertainment niche sites. So the traffic coming mostly clicks on my ads.

 

Your view is right, Then again a lot of people new to those niches still search for those topics and may not have an idea about the ads and stuff. Also, the point is how interesting the ads displayed on your site to the visitors are.

 

what abt forums like DP and simalar ones?

That's not true, the niches that you posted are some of the top ones on my website, and i'm making very good daily revenue.

Nothing new.

There are people who run Blogs, forums on these niches and still make decent money. Agreed if you choose different niche which has low competition and decent searches has good potential to make money.

Other then that good quality content, seo template and gradual process of link building is sure way to earn money. Submit articles to directories and promote your site.
