The reason they got banned is because they had a broken redirect to their homepage, nothing to do with hidden links. The proof is that they fixed it and got indexed straight away.

It's not unethical, google doesn't like it because they're not smart enough to stop it from effecting their rankings programatically. That does not make something unethical, google is not the ethics police.

Still I'd agree not to do it since even though google isn't the ethics police you do sometimes have to try and please them.

Where did you get that idea?? Yahoo is one of the only places Google says it's ok to buy search engine friendly links ... and at $300 a pop.

If they banned popular sites for no reason other than some type of competition, people would still be able to find them on Yahoo, and think the quality of Google's search engine is falling. Not web site owners, mind you, but people in general.

I think Widgetbucks will be in the search results soon.

It appears it really doesn't matter about search results at the mo....check their alexa ranking

    They are flying!

Also this is a latest quote from their blog "Since launching Oct. 2 (a 30-day period), WidgetBucks has signed up a total of 30,000 publishers, bloggers and affiliates and registered over 200 million ad impressions. The total publisher and impression figures are nearly twice our SIX-month projections."

Amazing results really considering some of the bad reviews etc....they must be doing something right
