Avoid PROFITHOST.net AT ALL COSTS! Poor support! MAJOR downtimes!

    Hi,

    I bought hosting from ProfitHost for my website and it was running good untill 2 days ago. The site went down all of a sudden (nameservers stopped working).

    Their support guy, Jacob Lavegeen, said that the nameservers will be back up within 120 minutes. I asked him for a backup of my files/sql, he said I will get them in my mail.

    I didnt get my backup. I emailed them 2-3 times and I messaged him several times on MSN, but my messages were ignored!

    The next day I emailed them again, no reply. I was losing business but these guys didn't seem to care about it. I came back home from school and messaged him again on MSN, he said it should be up soon. I asked him for backup, he made an excuse!

    I messaged him several times again on MSN but he ignored me. When I asked him for backup once more, he said "why do you need your backup? server will be up soon". I replied saying "i want to restore the backup on my server just incase". He started ignoring me, again!

    I PMed Rezo on Digitalpoint forums regarding this issue and he said: "oh i thought the servers were already up, i will talk to jacob about this"

    I think today was the 3rd day, no reply from them, their hosting still down. I had to switch hosts today and had to start from scratch (lost sql)

    Avoid REZO and his website PROFITHOST.NET at all costs!

    I tried going to the website and it didnt work!
    My host sucks too, i just switched to them and they seem to take forever to fix things but my sites have been up for a week now without a problem...woohoo! lol

    What? Do you know what you say? I am an employee of ProfitHost, just maintaining their sites. I do many things there, except hosting.

    So please, find someone else which will accept your lame (and untruth) words.

    As I totally ignore them, and state that you are not right.

    But, I knew you had servers. I talked to our sales manager about you. He told the servers would be ready. I DID talk, however I didnt know about the result.

    And yes, you want people to comment?

    Let them comment on this post.

    Yeah I also recommend them.. Use the coupon "uspromo" when you sign up and get some bonuses!

    This isnt a lets promote other hosts thread and list affiliates.

    Hes already said that he has found other hosting you dont need to promote yours.

    I hope you manage to to recover anything.

    Mate that sucks. I had similar problems with a different host and ended up having to move.

    Some of these hosting comapnies just plainly suck and if they cant be bothered to get a server fixed and up within 3 days I think we should ALL boycott them.

    I don't know what ProfitHost's excuse is but a site being down in 3 days is enough reason to be unsatisfied with their service. That's three days! 72 consecutive Hours of down time. NOT GOOD! :mad:

    You have contact with the owner then. Call him up and ask him to get our friend here a backup so he can put his sites back online instead of dealing with horrible support from a 4th rate host.

    I have had the EXACT same experience with Profithost.net been waiting for WEEKS, not hours, not days WEEKS for my server, they have my money I have nothing, furthermore their support is rude and I think its a bunch of kids, if anyone at profithost.net is actually legit please contact me about my server all I want is it up and running. I dont even want to bad mouth this host on a forum, even though it looks like I am not the only one having an awful experience with them.

    Lately, for 2 weeks every single day Jacob says "the server will be ready today mate", and every day its not ready! Its gone beyond the point where its not even funny anymore its just sad.

    Is this site an outright scam?

    Hello Users,


    I just wana give u guys an advise to avoid www.Profithost.net because recently I have ordered a windows server from them.

    That guy told me to send money through wire transfer because thy don’t accept paypal because of buyer protection. I sent the money by bank that guy received it. I ordered a windows server because I am a streamer. So I was suppose to get the sever 1 day before that streaming event but when that day came that guy told me that thy are waiting for windows 2003 server license. Now its like 1 month I never received the server nor refund. I tried to massage that guy on msn he is like I will send the refund in 2 days but thy didnt. This company is a Complete Fraud. Now when ever I email him that guy never reply me back. So I am writing this for u guys so u can avoide profithost.com in future.

    Hello everyone,

    I am aware that profithost.net has some type of a presence on this forum. So I am hoping they will see this and reply or that other DP forum members will reply with their experiences in dealing with profithost.net and Jacob.

    I have had a very negative experience with profithost.net so far.

    I purchased a dedicated server from them and that was really where the problems began in an endless stream with profithost.net

    1) I ordered Netherlands and received Germany, was charged the Netherlands rate (more expensive) for what is German, I even accepted this without argument
    2)I had to wait over 1 month for a direct admin licence and maybe 3 weeks for a server that should have been ready in minutes,
    3) I purchased a direct admin licence for another server and I never received it and then I went and bought one from leasewebs in amsterdam and received it overnight.
    4) My first directadmin licence I received was UNLIMITED but after 2 weeks it expired and after its expiration profithost.net refused to reply to my attempts to contact them for 2 weeks.

    All I want is my money back for the second licence and my first licence to work. Profithost.net lied and said DirectAdmin doesnt answer their emails so I contacted them to ask about the licence and they replied in less than 3 hours but they could not help me because profithost.net is the owner of the licence.

    If anyone at profit host would kindly PM me or reply to this thread or answer my emails I left them I will kindly note that in this thread. But for now I am warning people to be VERY wary of profithost.net because they have very poor customer service to say the least.

    I dont know anything about this host, but from the name of it, I would never use them. Profit Host? A host seeking to make the biggest profit possible. Means you're gonna get RIPPED OFF!
