You can look here and see the traffic we've gotten for one of our listings. It's a Standard Listing, so it appears below all of the Featured Listings which might drive a bit more traffic with the increased exposure.

How long have you been listed there? Checked a few other sites, doesn't seem to be generating that many leads for people paying the listing fees.

Looking through our Dec. stats I see 20+ referrals from the directory; from the category page, the details page and the popular listings page. I'm happy with the listing.

It's not always about how much traffic you are getting, but the overall quality of the listing. There are a few locations in which I do not get any traffic from but the listing it self has proved to be very powerful and that is what I look for when submitting to directories.

Aviva is a good directory to submit too. It often features at the front pages of socialnetworks. Bigtime traffic (check alexa) and nice google pagerank.

Check the category you are about to submit it's cache date, this will give a good indication when the bots last visited the category page. Over 11.800 pages are indexed in google, with over 3.940 backlinks in google. Check the linkvendor.com website domain popularity tool to see more info about this great web directory.

I've personally seen very little traffic (3 hits since November of last year and at least one of those was me!) on the site I have listed there, but then I don't buy directory listings for traffic, but for PR/backlinks.

Has anyone got example of a directory that has brought them volume traffic (and I mean a real example, not just 'yeah I got loads of traffic from xxxxDirectory.com - see my sig for the link') ?

www.linkvendor.com looks like a useful resource thanks for that whatifind.

my opinion: aviva is ok if you're looking for a standard web directory you may want to submit to.
anyway, the prices are too high while they don't permit at least to upload a banner or some graphical elements to represent your business.
