It’s strange, you can contact OnlineDude is the owner, have you send him a PM? before posting here!.
Aviva is a very well managed directory.

    **Faints**

Saying Aviva is a scam is probably one of the most ridiculous things I've heard...

    I consider this as inexperience...

Be patient, it's my advice. ;)

Thank you for the suggestion. I've just sent him a PM (I didn't know he is the owner I've seen the Aviva Directory in the signature of another person...and...)

A directory is humanly owned and operated so its prone to mistake. As life would have it somtimes things happen like a death in the family or lord knows what else can occur. I am not trying to defend anyone, just saying that anything is possable. Communicating with paypal would be 1 alternative but i would make the website aware that if a responce is not gotten within a few days you have no other choice but to seek re-emburstment.

Now as for the title to this thread.... utterly freakin ridiculas!

Aviva directory is 1 of the top 5 names in the directory business, and i dont think that they would ruin there image over a few bucks... period.
As was recommended by shenron be patient give it atleast a week or so........

    thx

I would think twice before posting a thread with such a sensational title.
    Apparently you didn't.

Have to agree whole heartedly. There is a logical reason without a doubt as to why you haven't heard anything. Relax, you have a receipt from PayPal, now move on to something more constructive for your site while you wait to hear from Aviva.

You see on loot’s of signature links :D it’s heavy marketing.
Saying that “Aviva Directory is a SCAN” is probably the stupidest thing I have heard on this forum.
I just PM Jeff (onlinedude) with a link to this thread.

Hope you are not doing this as a negative marketing tatic.

    I would suggest that in the future you might want to say something like;

I need to contact the owner of the directory. There is something I need to discuss about the site that I submited. Does anyone have his digitalpoint userid or just refer him to this thread with my userid.

That would also likely get you some response without all the drama.

    Best of luck.

I was NOT saying Aviva is a scam. I was asking you people with your experience if it is a scam. I've described my experience precisely so I don't think I wasn't fair.
I am a patient person. When I submited my site I didn't get any message saying when it would be included. I saw this on my screen: "Link submited and awaiting approval". If it said "Wait for 15-30 days for approval" or whatever I wouldn't complaint. I just don't like to be cheated and that's all and I came here to ask about your experience. And I also said that I (truly) hope they are not scammers so you're not being fair. The provokative title cannot hurt anybody.

I already submitted to more than 300 paid directories and didn’t have found a single scammer (a lot of spammers :D), I had some problems but after contacting the owner always solved.

I can guarantee you from my experience that the directory industry is probably one of the safest on the internet, you can submit with confidence.

In less than half an hour of posts anyone could learn from Aviva/Jeff reputation from this thread... :)

This should now be a sticky! :p

Congrats to Jeff for his damn hard work!

This is totally ridiculous! You are so novice to judge AVIVA ! I will say do not even think of judging AVIVA Directory! A very few directory has reached in that
height like Aviva, I will say it is one of the best directory, so well managed and
    promotion and service.

Think and look around before comment and post something

onlinedude I apologize for the thread title.
I've tried to delete this thread or at least change it's title and I cannot. It would be okay if the moderators would delete this whole thread. Moderators, please delete this thread.
! Ask ! thank you for your posts.
urlstand, I didn't judge anybody, please don't overreact. I was just concerned over being scammed. It's true a I am novice at directory submition. I've submited my site only to a couple of payed directories, recently. And I'm happy to hear from !Ask! it's hard to find a scammer. I've tried to buy good links on Ebay (a couple of times) before that and unfortunately I have to say that I rarely got what advertized I could even say somebody tried to scam me a couple of times.
p.s. onlinedude I've used the contact form on Aviva Directory on Nov 3-rd.

Normally run into problems in August and September :D people are on holidays and take to long to put the link up and to respond to e-mails.

Still yet to find a scanner…
