    It had to happen. google will always try to allow only genuine links. It''l happen with sig links too, at some pint in the future.

    I just hope that the Aviva directory project was profitable enough to make up for the present situation.

    I think what they are using is compartmentalization, they dont intend to treat all as the same, they are probably quite intent on keeping it that way too.

    Yeah, I'm pretty sure Google is aware of Aviva...Matt Cutts has mentioned it specifically in blog comments, etc.

    I don't think aviva's top concern is it's site links...
