It was deleted due to "notability". People raving about Aviva in this forum don't count, and nor do interviews with directory owners on various other directory blogs and forums.

Aviva is probably the most noteable directory on the web and it is 10 times better then Joeant or Business or any of the other directories listed in their, I will be kicking off with with Wiki about this.

What makes aviva 10 times better ? Just because someone spends money on advertising and makes their site get noticed by others, than others who do not and keep their directory standards top notch ?

Ever heard of alivedirectory.com ? If not its time you write something about alivedirectory also, i think thats the best i seen no far, with chris having both manners and the power of money :D . I have seen that directory grow from its day 1. So what aviva on wiki and not alive ?

Oh yeah, because aviva is more noteable than a directory like business.com which has a $7.5m dollar domain name, a marketing budget that makes avivas a spec in the dirt, gets 6million+ visitors a month and offers 100x more from a listing, suuure :)

I think you misunderstand their definition of notability, which has nothing to do with how well known the directory is. It's all about how much it gets discussed by authoritative sources: and by that, I'm fairly sure they mean in print, or on television.

Alive should be in there as well but Business.com sucks it isn't even SEO friendly, I am listed in most directories but I wouldn't spend $200 on a Business.com listing, a fancy domain name don't make a directory, Wikipedia needs to move with the times, the directories listed in there are has bin's, Aviva and Alive stand out from the crowd, these two are leaders in amongst tens of thousands of other directories, if that isn't noteable then I don't know what is, that is why I added Aviva, PEACE!

What are you talking about, what did you say that made users stopped posting ? I asked you a question " What makes a site noticeable " ? Where is the answer ? And what makes aviva so much better (well you said 10 times better to be exact)than Ask directory, forplex directory, ewebpages directory ? Is it just cause aviva got more advertising money, that makes them 10 times better? So, basically it comes down to the money war right ? You changed your statement now , saying now both alive and aviva stand out, why is that , why not sticking to "Aviva rocks" statement anymore. If you think both are good what made you say intially that aviva is 10 times better than any other directory (do you really know all the directories that exists out there? ).So far, from the sounds of it aviva is paying you to advertise them.

Saad with money there is no such thing as "hard to achieve".Give me 50 k and I will show you what I mean. Its not about personal wars or anything, just trying to get something straight, does money make one site better than others just cause its advertised more than those which are better than most well advertised site but never get enough exposure cause of restrictions on how much money can be utilized ? I would have said the same as i did about aviva, if dave would have said that alive is the most noticeable directory on the net and would have asked him the same thing as to what makes it more noticeable than others and if he really knows all the directories on the globe to make such a comment?

I only said it was 10 times better then the ones listed in Wiki I never mentioned any other directories, this is coming from an SEO perspective.

Oh i thought u were talking about it been better than any directory on the globe. What you mean by "Seo Prespective" you mean its more seo optimized than any site listed on wiki ? If so does wiki care about se optimization ?

Brilliant, something to admire and set out to achieve! What's the situation though when somebody goes to wiki and opens a discussion?

A fancy domain isn't everything, but we are talking about notability aren't we? I think a $7.5m domain makes the site noteable. I also think 6 million visitors a month who are looking to do BUSINESS and are targetted by not only online advertising but offline as well. You will make sales from your site with a business listing, there users are quality. My impression of aviva and others is the bulk of there traffic are webmasters.

How again is aviva moving with the times and the ones in wiki arent? Because everyone on digitalpont raves about aviva, is that it? Where are references of aviva in national newspapers? Major news channels? There aren't. I don't see know one raving about it other than at dp..
Why don't you back up what your saying with the reasons that aviva and alive are better than the ones in wiki?
