look in the thread of directory rebound ... i was gonna post it some other time but i posted it just now in the directories section... it have few of my thoughts in it... i hope i helped a bit
Great news, it was such a shame for it to get penalized. My guess, and it's just a guess, is that it won't mean automatic reinclusion for anybody else. Site by site basis, methinks.
It is indeed good to hear aviva's come back in the SERP. I hope this is a sign of a bright future for directories
I now see Zorg and many other directories getting back in Google. So is this the end of the directory penalization ? Lol
And we (BAMS) rank no. 10 for it. I too get decent hits for that keyword. Good to see the rockstar back rocking at its position. Congratulations Jeff, I know your are reading this post.
To be honest I am happy for Jeff. But it wasn't good act by Jeff and Chris to left us without telling the reason. It was like they don't care anymore of this directory industry.
what a load of bull. like you know what he changed, please! maybe he didnt change anything at all, maybe somebody at Google was asked to change something?
lol perhaps maybe you should keep your eyes more open. Aviva Directory - Sidebar before the penalty had a list of all the network dirs of aviva. Aviva had several main domains pointing to it including ewebdirectory.net/templates.php and several others Aviva had latest link page, top hits page, reciprocal link box in the submit page. Then if you read gooogle webmaster blog ... you would know jeff and matt had a good discussion and he answered all what needs to be changed in aviva ... which is all done ... perhaps you should read my other post called directory rebound it have a link to that specific comment. Then matt said if you do this resubmit aviva for reinclusion and he will closely examine it. funny to see someone gave me a red rep for shut up ... dont know if it was you but forgot to write their name. ah well perhaps it is not bull i guess serg.
So, what's so great in such comeback? If you look at it deeper the only one change is that it came back to SERPS on brand name. All the rest - and some know what I mean - didn't change and I doubt it will change so soon. - D.
